The Ballstad story

Beyond the Arctic Circle in northern Norway, you'll come across a small fishing village called Ballstad, located at the 68th parallel north and the 13th meridian east. Here, at the meeting point of the cold waters of the North Atlantic and the steep, towering mountains, you might feel like you've arrived at the edge of the world.

Ballstad Omega-3 Production

Beyond industry standards for purity

Ballstad's product specifications not only meet the requirements of reputable organizations, but even exceed them:
- European Pharmacopoeia (EU)
- United States Pharmacopeia (USP)
- Codex Alimentarius standard
- Monograph of the Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3 (GOED).
- 5-star International Fish Oil Standards (IFOS) rating standards.

Ballstad products are made with care

The consumption of fish oil and fish collagen has a long tradition in Norway and as a brand from the heart of Norway, we know what is important when it comes to high-quality omega-3 and collagen products. Ballstad products are certified by the “Friend of the Sea” organization, come from 100% sustainable fisheries and are made in Norway.

Odd Roar Olsen's story

My name is Odd Roar Olsen, born and raised in Ballstad, a small fishing village in Northern Norway. On this small Lofoten island, 200 kilometers above the Arctic Circle, Ballstad, home to about 1,000 people, has been the center of fishing and people's livelihood for thousands of years.

Life on an island in northern Norway

Growing up in a place where everything has to be earned through hard work and perseverance is a great opportunity for me. This instilled in me the belief that the path to success lies through self-sacrifice and merit. This upbringing gave rise to the core belief that perseverance and determination bring positive results in life.
